We started the restaurant business for the Passion of Food and have never stopped. BBQ plates share the menu with exotic meat burgers at our comfy spot with rustic-style decor and history.
We could tell you a book of true stories of how Orlando got inspired to cook. It started back in the days when Orlando's Grandfather was a foreman on one of the biggest Ranches in Texas, King Ranch. During Roundups, Orlando couldn't wait to eat some of the best organic meats, breads, gravies, salsas made by the Vaquero Cooks. The beef was fresh from the ranch; beef such as Wild Boar, Armadillo, and Turkey. He was inspired every time he saw them put out the best food and watch the ranch hands devour it. As for Debra, she is the Manager and backbone of Texas Mesquite BBQ and Grill. Her organizational skills are unbelievable. She oversees the daily operations, finances and marketing of the restaurant. With the skillset of both partners, the restaurant has become a very successful and popular site.
We strive to succeed and we have. We can take any task large or small. We are proud to provide some Texas history along with local farm food.
